Relaxation/Swedish Massage

All about relaxing, the focus is giving the client time to recover from the stresses of daily life. You can expect a treatment that involves, long smooth gliding strokes that are rhythmic and flowing, pressure that is deeply relaxing, but not painful, and a treatment that is designed to soothe and relax you, not to relieve chronic pain or other underlying ailments.

Thai Massage

Developed over 2,500 years ago, this modality profiles assisted passive stretching, compression, and rocking of the body and joints to increase flexibility, relieve joint tension and balance the body. This treatment is done in four positions: supine, side-lying, prone, and sitting on the Thai floor mat fully clothed along with guided breathwork. Excellent tool to open joints, improve circulation and flexibility, and relieve fatigue.


90 Minutes: $135 / $128 / $121

Orthopedic Massage*

Uses anatomical science and body manipulation techniques to help clients resolve symptoms without exacerbating existing conditions, great for injury recovery, surgery recovery, improve flexibility and sports performance.

Oncology Massage

Modification to physical, psycho-social and emotional massage techniques to safely work with the limitations and complications of cancer and cancer treatment clients, benefits include relief with nausea, pain, peripheral neuropathy, stress reduction and healthy touch.

Cupping

An alternative therapy that originated in China that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction to increase blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It can also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. Cupping is used to complement their care for a host of ailments and conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Reflexology

More than a foot massage! Specialist uses specific reflex points on the feet, hands and ears to induce a healing response in the corresponding organs and areas of the body. Benefits include cleansing of body toxins, boosts the immune system, increase circulation, bring body into balance. Contraindicated for Pregnancy

Aromatherapy Massage

The use of aromatic plant extracts and essential oils in massage for additional healing benefit.

Anti-Aging Facial

Including all steps of a facial from exfoliation to moisturizing and massage to improve circulation but includes the use of products targeting mature and aging skins makes the difference. Anti-aging facials plump up the skin, while helping to reduce dark circles. It slows the aging process, brighten the skin and reduce wrinkles. If you long for a younger-looking skin, this is for you!

Purifying (Acne) Facial

Acne is a disorder of the skin caused by inflammation of the skin glands and hair follicles. This treatment is to steam, cleanse, purify and rehydrate the skin for a healthier exterior.

Body Treatments/Wraps

Essentially a facial for your whole body leaving your skin feeling velvety smooth and soft. The idea behind a body treatment is that is just as important to cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the skin on your body as it is the skin of your face.

Arrive 20 minutes prior to your service to prepare your body by relaxing in our sauna, steam room or whirlpool. Shower facilities are available before or after your service and use of our Day Spa amenities is encouraged.

 

Every treatment includes a complimentary consultation which will customize the service to your specific needs. Aestheticians are licensed and experienced. Only quality products are used.

  • Tara Eden Aksoy, L.M.T.

    Tara has been a practicing therapist since 2005 and is licensed in CT and NY. With a history of working with chiropractors and other healthcare professionals, Tara specializes in pain management, injury prevention and recovery and on the lighter side, relaxation with Zero Balancing, Facial Rejuvenation and Reiki. I enjoy taking each session as another opportunity to listen, create a plan for the session and bring that client closer to their personal wellness goals.

  • Sue Cohen, L.M.T.

    Sue has over 15 years of experience as a massage therapist. She has continued to challenge herself by not only running her own business, but through continuing education and community service. She can be found at Yale doing chair massage, studying Chinese Medical Massage in Beijing, China or volunteering at the annual Closer to Free Ride. These experiences have developed into Sue’s own unique style, bringing to her clients a wealth of treatment skills to match any request or need.

  • Charlie Blake, L.M.T.

    Charlie is a graduate of CT Center of Massage Therapy with 16 months of schooling and 800 hours of supervised training. Specializing in Orthopedic Massage, ‘Chuck’ has a strong desire to help people get out of pain and feel better. His knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with a deep understanding of orthopedic issues is impressive. He is always willing to help others in need, consistently bringing his talent to community service events and senior centers.

  • Elizabeth Shine, L.M.T.

    Elizabeth brings a clinical understanding to her practice with treatments such as Neuromuscular, Oncology and Orthopedic massage all based in an M.S/B.S. of Public Health and massage licensing in CT and NY. Having spent most of her career working with chiropractors, she has a strong understanding of pain management, recovery and corrective stretching. She personalizes each session to track, monitor and develop your progress to meet your wellness goals with compassion and a plan.

  • Bryan Giles, L.M.T.

    Bryan has been many things, such as a barista and a professional dancer but our favorite specialty is his Thai massage. Bryan chose to live in Thailand to study this technique at the Chetawan Thai Traditional Medical School. His specialties stem from this training in traditional full body Thai massage, Thai foot massage and Thai oil massage just to name a few. He is a consummate professional with a strong, confident and compassionate approach to help you improve your overall well-being.

  • Michele Durbois, L.M.T.

    Michele is a graduate of Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy Westport, CT. Her experience has taken her from clinical to spa treatment settings working with chiropractors and other health experts. She is well versed in Swedish massage, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue, Reiki or Reflexology. Michele is always willing and ready to give you the experience you desire. She also enjoys aromatherapy (with her wide selection of Young Living Essential Oils) for a purely decadent relaxation session.

  • Tova Hyman, Aesthetician

    Tova Emanuel-Hyman, an aesthetician and beauty therapist with over 20 years of experience, has received the finest European training. She has practiced her skill in London, Israel and New York City. Tova has a passion for enhancing her clients’ natural beauty, and enjoys developing personalized treatment plans for all skin types. She offers luxurious aromatherapy facials and body treatments using organic products. You will feel refreshed, rejuvenated and with a new found sense of well-being.

  • Beth Harrison, Aesthetician

    Beth is a professional Cosmetologist and Aesthetician. As a former Salon owner, she brings over 25 years experience. She is also a triathlete and trainer with an eye to nutrition. She knows that what goes into the body is a clear reflexion of what you see on the outside. Not only is she a specialist in deep tissue and age-defying facials, she uses reflexology to rejuvenate tired, overworked or arthritic hands and feet. Another spa specialty is her signature “scalp treatments”.
