Community Volunteer Connection

Welcome to Greater New Haven's Community Volunteer Connection, your one-stop resource for a multitude of volunteer opportunities across our vibrant community. We pride ourselves on fostering an environment where everyone, from kids and teens to retirees and seniors, can contribute their unique talents, passions, and time to causes they care about.

Our Volunteer Connection page features a variety of roles to choose from, each designed to suit diverse interests, schedules, and skills. Here, you can make a tangible difference, learn new skills, meet like-minded individuals, and experience the rewarding feeling of giving back. We also encourage community agencies to submit their volunteer opportunities, thus ensuring our listings are continually refreshed and inclusive. Together, we can strengthen our community bonds, drive positive change, and ensure everyone has a chance to shine through service.

Synagogues and agencies from throughout the Greater New Haven community are also welcome to submit their volunteer opportunities for hosting on our Volunteer Connections page. Submit your opportunities through the button to the right (or below, on mobile)! Don't have your own platform for accepting applications? Let us set one up for you! Contact Derek Holodak, Director of Marketing and Communications, at dholodak@jewishnewhaven.org to discuss details.

Note to organizations: the Jewish Federation and JCC of Greater New Haven is not responsible for and cannot vet volunteers who are responding to your organization’s volunteer submissions. Each organization is responsible for their own vetting. If you need assistance with vetting your volunteer applicants, we recommend using Sterling Volunteers.
