The Chapters of Our Ancestors is a section of the Mishnah (first part of the Talmud) which offers ethical insights from the key teachers and rabbinic authorities between 200 BCE and 100 CE. These powerful aphorisms transcend time in offering to us a moral compass for our present day experiences. Monthly, we will have a chance to explore this text through lively discussions. The class, facilitated by Sydney Perry, Director of Education at Jewish Family Service of Greater New Haven and sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven., meets on Thursdays from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the Jewish Federation Shoreline Office.
