Join us for the Second Annual Geoffrey H. Hartman Fellowship Symposium. Inaugurated in 2017, the Geoffrey H. Hartman Fellowship Program brings a scholar to the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies for one year to work closely with the collection. The Fortunoff Archive also funds other fellows in conjunction with other institutions to encourage research with the collection. This year, the Fortunoff Archive supported research by two fellows:

Sari J. Siegel, Geoffrey H. Hartman Postdoctoral Fellow
Ion Popa, Fortunoff Archive/Vienna Wiesenthal Institute Joint Postdoctoral Fellow

During their tenure, both Ion and Sari produced an annotated critical edition of a testimony from the collection. Our fellows will introduce the testimonies they have chosen to work with as part of the Fortunoff Archive’s Critical Edition Series.

This event is part of the 2019 event series by the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies, Yale University.
