The documentary film, “People Forget...New Haven Remembers” will be shown on May 4th at 7 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom. The film is built around the oral histories of four of the Holocaust survivors who resettled in New Haven after the war and who worked to make the New Haven Holocaust Memorial a reality: Dr. Ralph Friedman, Helene Rosenberg, Shifra Zamkov and Hannah Kuperstock. The film was commissioned and sponsored by Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory, Inc. After the May 4th showing, the documentary will continue on to the State Capitol, and then to the National Holocaust Museum. Light refreshments will be served. A $5 donation suggested.
