The BEKI Shabbat Schmooze has resumed, though on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm via Zoom. 

"It's Never Too Early to Start Planning:  giving yourself a voice in the face of mortality," a presentation about medical advanced directives and other legal issues around health care and end of life. Dr. Michael Hurwitz and Attorney Donna Levine will discuss matters such as 

- Selecting a health care representative

- Treatment preferences and living will

Michael Hurwitz, PhD, MD
is an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at
Yale University Medical School, where he treats
oncology patients, researches new treatments for
adult cancers, and teaches medical students and
residents. 

Donna Levine, Esquire
is an attorney with a private practice
specializing in the fields of estate planning
and probate. Her practice focuses on elder
law issues and issues regarding people with
disabilities.
