100th Anniversary Celebration of Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek, includes a gala, a new play written specifically for the commemoration, the publication of a new book detailing the history of the two congregations that merged to form CBSRZ, programs that focus on the farming roots of Connecticut Jews, and the first annual Pursuers of Justice Award, given this year to Martha Stone, founder and director of the Center for Children’s Advocacy.
The play, 100 Years in 36 Minutes, will be performed on the night of the gala, Saturday, October 3. The creative team includes playwrights Lary Bloom and Shelley Sprague (who is also the director), and David Hays, the production designer, who is a member of the Theater Hall of Fame, and was set designer for more than 50 Broadway plays.
