Anthony Mordechai Tzvi Russell will return to BEKI, adding his voice to our ongoing exploration of issues of racial justice in America. He will demonstrate—through song and discussion—convergences of Ashkenazi and African American music. A classically trained operatic bass, Anthony now is an internationally acclaimed arranger and vocalist specializing in Yiddish art and folk songs, chazones and Hasidic nigunim.
