Affordable Housing Education Series (Part 1 of 2) via Zoom

Join Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek (CBSRZ) on Zoom to learn about the topic of affordable housing. This is a two-part series that starts on February 17 from 7:00 to 8:00 with a presentation by Open Communities Alliance, and continues on March 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 with a panel of CBSRZ members who have experience with affordable housing. Erin Boggs, Executive Director of Open Communities Alliance with be covering the history of government policies that contributed to residential segregation, the impact of segregation and innovative strategies used to counteract segregation. She will focus on the role that the creation of mixed-income communities can play in fostering a more equitable and sustainable Connecticut. The panel on affordable housing will focus on the challenges and solutions to affordable housing in the Chester-area communities, and feature CBSRZ members who have worked on developing affordable housing projects, selling affordable housing units, working on municipal affordable housing committees and finding affordable housing for refugees.
