Monday, January 21 | 10 AM - 12 PM
The authors of Soulful Sydney, Terry Murphy and Mariam Azeez, will be on hand to read from and discuss their book. The book is a heart-warming children’s story about Sydney who meets the girl next door. Together they set off in search of lessons of kindness and acceptance. In addition to the story, students are invited to make a “compassion craft” that will be donated to spread the kindness forward.
The book with an accompanying coloring book may be pre-ordered for a discounted rate of $8. Books will also be available for purchase at the event for $12.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in a “Compassion Project” before or after the author presentation. They will be crafting no-sew fleece items to donate to local children in need.
