Pain Free Posture Therapy Workshops

A good deal of the daily aches pains and the more chronic issues of physical joint and muscle pain may have postural misalignment as a root cause.  If you are ready to tackle pain at its source, this small group setting is for you!  These sessions will explore alignment imbalances and release the discomfort in your hips, back, and shoulders to accelerate progress while enhancing movement.

NEW: STRENGTH TRAINING 101 for WOMEN

You are aware of the benefits of weight bearing exercises for muscle and bone health but may not be sure what to do, how much weight to use and may be concerned with injury. If you take Body Conditioning classes and are not sure you are doing the exercises correctly or find yourself intimidated using the equipment in the weight room, this
course can help. Contact susand@jccnh.org if you are interested in participating in a small group of 4 sessions with a Certified Strength Trainer to learn proper form, reps, weight load and other details that will help enhance your weight training experience. Details will be offered upon request per your email.

 

NEW FREE WORKSHOP: VESTIBULAR, VERTIGO & BALANCE

with Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center’s Physical Therapist on WEDNESDAY, May 8 at 12:15 pm in the Aerobic Room. No sign up required. (this workshop will replace the 12:15 Silver Sneakers class)

 

GROUP EX CLASS CHANGE: 

Yoga Nidra (Guided Meditation) for the warm weather months will be offered on Wednesdays at 6:15pm (first class 4/17)

He’s been our computer guru, fitness prankster and the most energetic Benny the Bagel. Best of luck to you Josh, we’ll miss you!

Wed. May 29, It’s National Senior Day!  Activities include:

11:15-12 Silversneakers class

12-12:30 Melt for Arthritis, (hands and feet)

12:30-1 Senior Drumming

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MEMBERS:

For security and safety reasons, the hallway cubbies are being removed on Monday, May 13!

All members are advised to use the locker rooms to store personal items.

Our Fitness Center continues to uphold the policy of not allowing bags, coats, etc. into the workout areas, that includes the Aerobic Room - the only exception is Indoor Cyclists where members are allowed to bring their cycling shoes in, those cubbies in the Spin Studio will remain.
