Our Grand Re-Opening:

The JCC WELLNESS CENTER IS NOW HOUSING A NEW PILATES STUDIO! Our Pilates space is now expanding and moving to the Stretch Room area now becoming an official Balanced Body ™ Pilates Studio!

Pilates "Off the Mat"

Pilates is a core focused exercise system based on the principles of balanced musculature effort for a lean, strong and flexible body. Our new Pilates Studio is a semi-private space just off our Fitness Center that is equipped with Balanced Body™ Apparatus including a Reformer, Trapeze Table (Cadillac) and other props. Our experienced, Pilates Certified Trainers can help design a program based on your goals and abilities that will lengthen and strengthen your body, guaranteed to be safe on the joints and challenging for the core!

Services Offered:

Introducing the NEW Balanced Body® Ladder Barrel

The Balanced Body® Pilates Ladder Barrel helps you isolate deep postural muscles and challenges the body in all planes of movement. Developed for core strength and flexibility exercises, the Ladder Barrel combines ladder rungs with a barrel surface to lengthen and tone the body. The barrel connects to the ladder by a sliding base that adjusts to accommodate different torso sizes and leg lengths.

Private Sessions available with a Certified Pilates Trainer

Balanced Body™ Reformer

The Reformer is probably the most famous and versatile piece of Pilates apparatus. It consists of a mat on a bed frame called a carriage, which are attached to springs. Your job, on the Reformer, is to resist those springs. Reformer’s headrest, shoulder blocks, foot bar, and straps give tactile feedback and assist you to perform the exercises more correctly and efficiently.

INTERESTING FACT: Joseph Pilates invented the reformer to help people perform the mat work more efficiently!

Private Sessions available with a Certified Pilates Reformer Trainer

NEW! Balanced Body™ Trapeze Table (Cadillac)

A jungle gym of sorts consisting of an elevated mat on top of a long table. It has arm springs, leg springs, a roll back bar to challenge length and spinal articulation, and a push thru bar to challenge shoulder stability and assist stretching. Not only will you tone and strengthen your abs, inner thighs, triceps, gluteals and hamstrings, but also challenge your joint stability and flexibility. It’s versatility allows for either a gentle or a killer workout, depending on your mood or needs.

INTERESTING FACT: Joseph Pilates originally called this piece a Trapeze Table but when his clients saw it for the first time they compared it to a shiny new Cadillac—the name stuck.
