We are excited to focus on addressing all areas of wellness for all adults and as well a special section for children’s health. We aim to address: Physical Wellness, Intellectual Wellness, Social Wellness, Emotional Wellness, Vocational Wellness, Spiritual Wellness and Environmental Wellness.
We will hold a vendor’s fair, informational lectures and demonstrations, health screenings, and refreshments.
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven is committed to help individuals be healthier by seeking to engage the community in conversation about common health issues and concerns. We will have presentations by local and national experts to empower individuals to take control of their health, by taking a proactive approach in scheduling cancer and genetic screenings.
Gary Altwerger, MD
Gynecologic Oncology Yale New Haven
Dr. Gary Altwerger specializes in oncology and is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Altwerger is a Phi Betta Kappa graduate of State University at Albany and University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He competed his residency and fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Altwerger has been recognized for his publications and research.
Emily Goldberg MS,
CGC - Genetic Counselor
Ms. Goldberg is a genetic counselor. She is a graduate of Brandeis University and received a master’s degree from Sarah Lawrence with a degree in human genetics. She has served as an adjunct professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and at Sarah Lawrence college.
Sarah Rosasco, MD
Advanced Radiology
Dr. Rosacsco specializes in Diagnostic Radiology, Breast and Body Imaging. She graduated from University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital and the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. She is affiliated with St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Yale New Haven Hospital.
Harold Schwartz MD
Gastroenterology, Griffin Hospital
Dr. Harry Schwartz specializes in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's and Colitis), colon and polyp screening. A native of Canada, Dr. Schwartz, is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine - Brooklyn, NY. He completed his residency and fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Schwartz currently is practicing at Griffin Hospital.
