Register in advance. State of Anti-Semitism Amidst the Pandemic: Combatting Old Hatred, Seeding New Hope

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to rage globally, so does history’s oldest virus, antiSemitism. Special Envoy Elan Carr will reflect on two years of service as America’s point person in exposing and combatting BDS and anti-Semitism on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition, Carr helped forge new alliances in the Arab world, when he signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the State Department with the Kingdom of Bahrain that recognized King Hamad’s leadership in promoting religious tolerance. In that document, Bahrain became the first Arab State to accept the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism and formally acknowledged that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitic.

Speaker: Elan S. Carr United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism
