Lecture: Does the Holocaust Matter Anymore? Holocaust Testimonies and the Challenge of Meaningful Remembrance

Join us for a lecture by Haim Gertner. Director Gertner will address the challenges of using documentation to create meaningful Holocaust remembrance, with specific attention, among other types of material, to testimony.

Haim Gertner is the Director of the Yad Vashem Archives and the Fred Hillman Chair for Holocaust Documentation. He also serves as a partner and consults with the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure. He holds a PhD in Modern Jewish History from the University of Jerusalem and has taught there, as well as the Open University in Tel Aviv.
