Your young child's first real camp experience at the JCC. Swim instruction, indoor and outdoor activities, and Camp Shalom enrichment programs are an integral part of the day.

ENTERING GRADES K-5 (CAMP SHALOM)

9AM-4PM (Before/After camp available)

Age-divided groups get a well-rounded camp experience including some group swim instruction, sports, music, drama, archery (grades 2-5), nature, arts & crafts and more!

4th and 5th Graders: Design Your Day @ Camp

Every Day (almost, anyway). We’re all about giving you choices and letting you decide what’s a cool thing to do. Like: sports of all kinds, cooking, karaoke, tennis, woodworking, yoga, fort building, drama, gardening, camping, dancing, newsletter writing . . . and much, much more.

ENTERING GRADES 6-9 (CAMP CHALUTZIM)

9AM-4PM (Before/After camp available)
For adventurous kids who love to travel and explore. Campers will enjoy day trips such as canoeing, hiking, amusement parks, archery, shows and sporting events. We’ll dedicate one day every two weeks to community service.

Overnight trips are included, with a stay at Club Getaway in the Berkshires (Kent) offered. The balance of the week is spent choosing from special electives that may include crafts, aerobics, basketball, jewelry-making, performing arts, archery, Israeli dance, swimming, racquetball, soccer, cooking and volleyball. Lots of options for lots of different individual interests.

Counselors in Training (CIT) Program Ages 14

9AM-4PM
This program gives teens the opportunity to work with young children, and in all areas of camp as a counselor and staff assistant, learning responsibility while they broaden their interpersonal skills and knowledge. In addition, CIT's receive JCC transportation, have one or two optional overnight programs designed for them (and their peers) and receive hands-on leadership training from camp professionals. Participating in this program will help teens build character and responsibility.
