
Yeladim Childcare Center
Yeladim Childcare Center at the JCC offers quality programs in a supportive,
nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical,
and cognitive development of young children. Our child-emergent curriculum
encourages experimentation, problem solving, logical thinking and
cooperative learning, as well as the assimilation of values, development
of social skills, and positive self-concept. Children explore, create
and build in an enriched and stimulating Jewish learning environment.
Yeladim is fully licensed by the State of CT and accredited by
the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The JCC accepts children into the program regardless of religion,
race, or ethnic origin.
Infant-Toddler and Pre-School Programs
Yeladim provides full-day, year-round childcare for children 3 months
to 5 years, M-F from 7:30am-5:30pm. Parents may choose three, four
or five full days. Yeladim includes half day programs for 3 and 4
year olds.

The JCC Afterschool Programs
The JCC Afterschool Programs offer a kaleidoscope of creative, fun,
stimulating activities in a Jewish atmosphere.
We have two quality licensed programs for children grades K-9: JCC
Afterschool Program, for children throughout the greater New Haven
school systems, and Kids Klub, designed for and located at the Bethany
Community School, including before and after school care.

At the JCC
Licensed quality care for children in grades K-9 with transportation
provided from over 15 area schools, at the dismissal of the school
day. In the JCC Afterschool Program, we celebrate various Jewish holidays
and customs through arts & crafts, singing and games, plus a weekly
Oneg Shabbat.
In addition, we transport your child to and from all enrichment classes!
Grades K-9
For full-day students, our program begins at the dismissal of their
school day, with transportation provided from their schools to the
JCC. We offer a kosher snack and a full range of fun activities, including
swim (Wednesday and Friday), arts/crafts, gym, cooking playground,
playscape and supervised homework time.

Kumon
Kumon is a different kind of learning program designed
to help kids master basics of math and reading. Students attend Kumon
classes held at the JCC twice a week. Homework for all five school
days is assigned to be completed at home. Alice Sun,

Reading and/or Math Enrichment
MON and THU 4:30-5:30pm, 9/4-12/22, Grades pre-k-12
No class 9/29, 10/9, 10/13, 10/20
You may register for Kumon Reading or Math, or both, at anytime of
year. Plan on ½ hour per subject. Monthly fee of $100 per subject.

Vacation
Programs

The
JCC provides care during most school vacations. Children grades K-9
participate in fun, specially-programmed events such as ceramics,
puppet shows, concerts and more. Swim, gym and playscape included.
Extended care is available from 7-9am and 4-6pm for an additional
$8 per time slot. Call 387-2522 x251. Specific information will follow
as each date approaches.

Snow
Program

When
school is cancelled due to bad weather, the snow program kicks in,
providing care until 6pm. (call after 6:30am for start time). You
dont have to be in our Afterschool program to use the snow program,
but, if youre not, you must preregister before attending. Please
call 387-2522x251 for registration and health forms, to be filled
out and submitted before attending. $50m/$65nm per day.
