Tour de Spin |
Workout Challenge begins July 5th and runs to July 31!
Participants need to complete all 20 stages
(to be logged on the tour chart after each workout)
Each stage consists of:
- One spin class
- One outdoor ride (minimum of 1 hour) or
- One indoor cardio workout (minimum of 45 minutes)
T-shirt awarded to those who complete all 20 workouts
and name gets entered into raffle prize!
$20 Registration Fee

Adult Group Swim Lessons:
6 weeks, Thursdays 7/1 thru 8/5.
$100 JCC members/$150 nm.,
Adults 18+ 5-6 PM Intro to Adult Lap Swimming: build endurance, fun drills that will allow you to swim for cardio and conditioning. 6-7 PM Intermediate Adult Lap Swimming: Drills for freestyle, backstroke & breaststroke. 7-8 PM
Advanced Adult Lap Swimming: speed training and technique for all four strokes.

The Spinning program is the original and most popular
group cycling class! With no complicated movements
to learn, great instructors, and music that begs your legs to pedal, Spinning
classes are as fun as they are effective. Because you can adjust the resistance
on your own bike, you get the workout thats right for you. SPINNING
- 45 minutes SUPER SPIN - 60 minutes
Please Note: Based on a first come
policy, a sign-up sheet will be available at the Control Desk 30 minutes prior
to each class. The first 16 to sign-in will reserve a bike for class.

Ongoing Group Fitness
The
JCC classes are kept cutting edge by using a variety of equipment and props. They
are taught by certified, experienced instructors concerned with your
safety and motivation!
Ongoing Pool Classes Membership Required
All water classes are 45 minutes Aqua Cardio & Strength
Resistance movements and aerobic activity in the water! MON/TUE/THU/FRI 9:00am
and MON, 4:30pm Deep Water Workout A cardio and conditioning
workout done in deeper water using props or belts to hold you up. WED,
9:00am and 5:00pm
Classes
for the Mobility Impaired Designed to give mobility-impaired
people, including those in wheelchairs, the opportunity to engage in aerobics,
strength training, and stretching exercises. The light-to-moderate exercises will
be modified for safety and performed while sitting. 10 weeks.

Regine Bence has a masters degree in Exercise Science from SCSU. She is certified
by the American College of Sports Medicine. Blood Pressure Screening
JCC members are welcome to have their blood pressure checked in the fitness room.

Leagues Racquetball League

mens basketball league, where all levels and abilities participate. Each

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
BODY / MUSCLE SCULPT / MUSCLE PUMP / MUSCLE MANIA:
A total body muscle strength & conditioning workout using a variety of props
such as light weights, bars, tubing, stability balls, etc. Designed for all levels. CARDIO
SCULPT: An active body sculpt class designed to keep your heart-rate elevated
so aerobic conditioning takes place while you sculpt individual muscle groups. ZUMBA:
Fun and easy to follow Latin / International style Dance! CARDIO KICK-BOXING:
Martial Arts, style cardio workout using boxing drills like punches, strikes,
kicks, blocks, etc. CORE FUSION: Core exercises target the abds, back and butt
- fused with a variety of props for total body work. CARDIO FUSION:
Combination of cardio exercise with muscle sculpting. GENTLE
AEROBICS: A basic, easy to follow low-impact class designed for seniors or
beginners.
SILVER SNEAKERS: A variety of exercises designed
to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living
skills. FOUNDATIONAL FITNESS: Strengthen, stretch and balance-with
a focus on stability training and functional movements. YOGA BASICS:
Hatha Yoga combines physical postures with breath awareness for complete wellness. GENTLE
'KOMALA' YOGA: Connect body & spirit with tenderness and acceptance -
this gentle, healing approach brings together breath & stretching in an awareness
of trust and compassion - for every body! FORREST YOGA: Breathe deeply
and connect in feeling with your body using poses that are typically held for
5-10 breaths - bringing aliveness to every cell of your body! A safe practice
that will help you handle daily stress or physical injury. YOGAFIT:
A fitness style of Hatha Yoga! PILATES: An acclaimed exercise and
conditioning program that focuses on the core, which connects strength, flexibility
and breath. PILATES SCULPT: Combination of Pilates method training
with total body muscle conditioning. NIA: A blend of martial arts,
healing arts and dance arts, using whole body, expressive and grounded movement
to deliver a beautiful movement class with cardiovascular conditioning. SPINNING SPINNING:
45 MINUTES, SUPER SPIN: 60 MINUTES SIGN UP WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE
